Besides her great achievements in competition and in Alpine climbing, Catherine travelled around the world, looking for the most beautiful cliffs, the most beautiful mountains, and above all the people who live there. Indeed the places she prefers are not the most remote : she likes meeting people, discovering their lifes and their villages.
From all these climbs and travels many reports have been published worlwide, and films have been broadcasted on TV. Since her first trip in Spain in 1985 for a fantastic solo ascent, she went to Mali in the country of the Dogons, to Thailand hunting swallow nest with a native ; she went paragliding from the top of the Kilimandjaro ; she liked the sandstone desert spire of Utah in the USA, and climbed the famous Devil's Tower in Wyoming. She visited the crags of Australia and an unclimbed icefall in Nepal, and solo climbed the Old man of Hoy in Scotland. Still the Alps and the Mont-Blanc are her favorite places.
She is now climbing round Europe, collecting reports on the best crags for the magazine Paris-Match : the series started with the Meteora in Greece and the Mallos de Riglos in Spain, went on with colder climbs in Scotland and in the Dolomites.

"Climbing around the world is my way of travelling. I do what I like, Idiscover extraordinary places : the cliffs of Bandyagara, the Orkney Islands, the Blue Mountains"
